Gli amici di Bert
È nato tutto un po’ per caso, ma è bastato proprio poco per scatenare un universo di affetto intorno a Bert Jansch.
Eravamo pronti con gli articoli per questo numero di novembre. Dovevamo solo decidere la copertina ed ecco l’idea: «Dedichiamola a Bert Jansch, dedichiamogli semplicemente la foto di copertina!» Dovevamo cercare una foto originale, così Reno Brandoni ha provato a rivolgersi a Stefan Grossman, chiedendogli se avesse nel suo catalogo qualche foto di Bert. Abbiamo ricevuto diverse immagini, tra cui quella un po’ ‘inquietante’ che abbiamo scelto per la copertina. Poi è bastato che Reno provasse a scrivere una semplice email a John Renbourn, chiedendogli se se la sentiva di scrivere un breve contributo scritto in ricordo dell’amico. E lui ha provveduto a girare il messaggio a tutti i suoi amici, così che la casella di Reno si è riempita di altri messaggi e ricordi: via via lo stesso Renbourn, poi Robin Williamson della mitica Incredible String Band, Wizz Jones, Gordon Giltrap, Alex De Grassi, Pierre Bensusan…
Abbiamo dovuto spendere un po’ di tempo per tradurli, ed ecco il motivo di questa uscita il 15 del mese. Ma siamo veramente soddisfatti di aver potuto ricordare un grande musicista con tanta passione e affetto da parte dei suoi stessi amici di viaggio!
Del resto anche il nostro primo numero è uscito il 15 del mese di aprile. Ed ora, a pensarci bene, ci siamo resi conto che il 15 del mese può essere proprio la data più adatta per l’uscita della nostra rivista. Anche in considerazione del fatto che, a partire da gennaio, come spieghiamo all’interno di questo numero, usciremo anche in edizione cartacea. Sì, avete letto bene: da gennaio Chitarra Acustica uscirà anche in edizione cartacea!
Che ne pensate? Non ci stiamo avvicinando sempre di più ai nostri obiettivi?

Bert’s Friends
It seemed to have come about almost by chance but it certainly took very little to spark up a whole world of love around Bert Jansch.
We were all ready to go to press with the articles for November’s issue. We only had to decide upon the cover image, when someone had the great idea: «Let’s dedicate it to Bert Jansch! What better homage than to dedicate the cover photo to him!» We had to look for an original photo and so Reno Brandoni thought of asking Stefan Grossman just in case he happened to have a few photos of Bert in his archives. We received several images, including a rather ‘unnerving’ one, which is the one we finally chose for the front page. Then, all that was needed was for Reno to happen to write a simple email to John Renbourn, asking him if he felt up to writing a short contribution in memory of his friend. Renbourn had the good idea of forwarding the message to all of his friends and before long Reno’s inbox was choc-a-bloc with messages and memories, from Renbourn first of all, then Robin Williamson, the mythic Incredible String Band, Wizz Jones, Gordon Giltrap, Alex De Grassi, Pierre Bensusan and so on.
We had to spend a bit of time translating them and here’s the reason for this late release on the 15th of the month. But we really are very satisfied with the way we’ve been able to remember such a great musician, with such passion and affection from his very own friends on the road!
Besides, our very first issue back in April had been released on the 15th of the month. And in fact, thinking about it properly, we have realised that the 15th could be the most suitable date for the release of our magazine, also considering the fact that, from January onwards, as we explain inside this issue, there will also be a hard copy – printed on paper! Yes, you read the truth: from January onwards, as we explain inside this issue, Chitarra Acustica will also be printed on paper!
What do you reckon? Aren’t we getting ever closer to fulfilling our objectives – to the full?
